REVIEW: Nikon NIKKOR 50mm f/1.2 Ai

Focus:
Infinit to 0.5m (1,7ft)

Mount:
Nikon F-mount

Covers:
Standard 35mm film size (24×36 mm negative)

Image quality

Still fairly sharp even wide open.
But it got some glow, and noticeable vignetting.
Stop it down to f/2 and most is gone and the lens is just great from here on.

Really great like one expect

Can get ghost flare when shooting in bright light

Really great like one expect

Filming

Build quality

Like all Nikkor manual focus AI-s lenses, this is built to the highest mechanical standards of any lens ever made.

Conclusion

This is pretty small and lightweight for a f/1,2.
It still uses a Nikon standard 52mm filter which is a big plus.
Picture quality is great through all aperture.
Got a glow wide open which I like in most cases.
