REVIEW: Franka Solida III Reviews
Posted by Bengt Köhler Sandberg 2012-01-07 Specs: Lens: Rodenstock - Trinar 80mm f/2.9 Aperture f/2.9 - f/22 Shutter: Prontor-SV 1/250 sec to 1 sec plus a Bulb setting Takes standard 120 film 6x6 Double-exposure prevention Image quality I must say that i'm quite impressed with the Rodenstock lens. Its sharp even wide open and have good contrast etc. Like most of these type of lenses you get unsharp corners even at f/11. It's pretty far out and I wouldn't say that it's a big problem on this one. f/2.9
Good sharpness not not that bad corner sharpness. Download full

f/11 Really sharp but the last part of the corners aren't that great. Download full size image. Here (up to 5mb) Bokeh Pretty rough and not the best I have seen. Download full size image. Here (up to 5mb) Flare Lens is coated and handles flares good Download full size image. Here (up to 5mb) All metal housing so its like a rock …... made of metal … and hollow :) Conclusion I really like this camera and for a medium format 6x6 this it as small as they get. The built in range finder works really great but is a bit small and dark. Normalt not a problem but it can be hard to see in bad light conditions. Thumbs up: Great image quality Small size Thumbs down: Corner sharpness Technical Info Scanner: Epson V700 Film: Kodak Tmax 400 Developer: Kodak D76 Want to help
